Seth's Story
My son was diagnosed with a rare very large cancerous brain tumor in April of 07. We were rushed by jet from Charlotte to Duke, and that became home for us for the next 7 months. Seth needed emergency surgery to save his life, and although he survived the surgery, it left him without half his skull bone for nearly 7 months. He then had many rounds of chemo, and finally had a surgery to replace his skull bone in November. The Me Fine Foundation was my saving grace during this time. They have helped me when I needed it most. They were there for me not only financially, but also emotionally. They understood my needs of living out of town, and losing a job to care for my sick child. They took away some of the worry, and provided me support and resources as well. I am so grateful for the caring people at the Me Fine Foundation. I can’t thank them enough.
